Maintain company directed productivity, training development plan, and comeback performance levels;
Perform job duties of all lower job descriptions (Technician B, Mechanic, General Service Technician);
Maintain an organized and neat shop;
Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur;
Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order;
Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended;
Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician;
Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned;
Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts;
Keep shop area neat and clean;
Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events;
Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair;
Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins;
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards;
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
