1. Equipment
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
â Scheduled Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM)
schedules for conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, and other mechanical equipment,
ensuring they remain in optimal working condition.
â Corrective Maintenance: Oversee the identification, troubleshooting, and
repair of mechanical failures in critical equipment. This includes diagnosing
mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and coordinating repairs.
â Condition Monitoring: Implement condition-based monitoring (e.g., vibration
analysis, oil sampling) to predict failures and reduce downtime.
â Performance Optimization: Ensure efficient operation of material handling
systems by identifying areas for performance improvement and implementing
solutions.
2. Permit System Management
â Permit Issuance: Manage the issuance of work permits for maintenance
activities, ensuring all safety protocols are followed before work commences
(e.g., confined space, hot work, lockout/tagout).
â Compliance: Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with company safety
regulations and industry standards. Work closely with safety officers to
monitor the work area for potential hazards.
â Permit Closure: Ensure that all maintenance activities are properly
concluded, and the work permits are closed out following completion of tasks.
